Cadento

Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Steponome is a cadence and breathing pace coach for iPhone, made by Cadento Ltd. This policy says what information the app and our website handle, why, and what your rights are. The short version: the app keeps your data on your device, and we do not collect it. We never sell personal data.

Who we are

The controller is Cadento Ltd. („КАДЕНТО“ ЕООД), UIC 208879246, 18 Hristo Belchev Str., floor 3, Sofia 1000, Bulgaria. For anything about your data, write to privacy@cadento.com. For help with the app, write to support@cadento.com.

What the app handles, and where it stays

Steponome has no account and no sign-up. Everything the app stores — your settings, presets, saved tracks and session history — lives on your iPhone and is handled by the app on the device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see it. Deleting the app deletes it from the phone; if you back your phone up, Apple handles the backup under your Apple Account.

  • Sensors. Anything the app reads from your phone's sensors is processed on the phone and never leaves it.
  • Apple Health. This version of the app does not read from or write to Apple Health. If a later version adds that, we will update this policy first, and Health data will stay on your device.
  • Voice commands. If you start or control a session through Siri or Shortcuts, Apple processes the request under Apple's privacy policy. The app receives only the command.
  • Analytics and tracking. This version of the app contains no analytics, crash reporting or advertising software. It does not track you across apps or websites, and it does not use the advertising identifier. If we add product analytics in a later version, we will ask for your consent in the app first and update this policy.

Purchases

Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment details, receipts and refunds under Apple's terms and privacy policy; we never receive your name, email address or payment information. The app checks with the App Store whether your device has an active subscription so it can unlock what you have paid for. That check identifies the purchase, not you.

When you write to us

If you email us, we keep the correspondence — including your email address — so that we have the history if you write again. We use it for nothing else. Ask and we will delete it.

Our websites

cadento.com and steponome.com (and the spare domains that redirect to them) are static sites hosted by Hostinger. Hostinger, as our hosting provider, processes the technical data any web server sees (your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to serve the pages and defend them against abuse, under Hostinger's privacy policy. We set no cookies and run no analytics on either site.

Where we handle personal data at all — your support correspondence — we do so to answer you (performance of a contract, or our legitimate interest in supporting the people who use our app). Everything else in this policy describes data that stays with you.

Your rights

You have the right to know what personal data we hold about you and to access it; to have it corrected; to have it erased; to restrict or object to how it is used; to receive it in a portable form; and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the app keeps your data on your device, most of these rights you exercise yourself, directly, by using or deleting the app. For anything we hold — in practice, support email — write to privacy@cadento.com and we will act within a month. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before we act.

The supervisory authority for Cadento Ltd. is the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection (Комисия за защита на личните данни, cpdp.bg). If you live elsewhere in the EU or in the UK, you may also complain to your own data protection authority.

Children

Steponome is not directed at children, and because the app collects no personal data, we hold none about anyone, children included. Younger runners can use it; parents and guardians decide whether the exercise itself is right for them.

Changes and questions

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters — for instance, if a future version of the app starts collecting anything — the app will tell you before it does. Questions: privacy@cadento.com.
