Cadento

Terms of Use

Last updated:

Steponome is made by Cadento Ltd., 18 Hristo Belchev Str., floor 3, Sofia 1000, Bulgaria — support@cadento.com. When you download the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement is the licence you use it under. These terms add to it. If the two ever disagree, Apple's agreement wins for anything about the licence itself.

What Steponome is

Steponome plays a steady cadence, a breathing pace and spoken cues under your own music while you exercise — running, cycling, walking, strength work, or anything else you choose to pace with it. It sets a rhythm; you decide whether to follow it. It makes no judgement about your health.

Not medical advice

Steponome is a pacing tool, not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent or cure any condition. If you have a heart, lung or other medical condition, are pregnant, or are unsure whether a form of exercise is right for you, ask a doctor before you use the app to pace it.

You train at your own risk

Physical activity of any kind — running, cycling, walking, strength training or anything else you pace with the app — carries a risk of injury, and following a rhythm does not change that. You are responsible for choosing a pace and an effort that suit you, for stopping when something feels wrong, and for the decisions you make while exercising. Cadento Ltd. does not accept liability for injury, loss or damage arising from physical activity you undertake while using the app, to the fullest extent the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Bulgarian or EU law, and nothing removes the protections you have as a consumer where you live.

Stay aware of your surroundings

The app plays audio in your ears. Outdoors — and especially on a bike — keep your attention on traffic, other people and the ground, follow local rules on headphones and road use, and set the volume so you can still hear what is around you.

Subscriptions

Steponome is free to use with a paid subscription for extra features. Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store: the price is shown before you buy, the subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before it ends, and you manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Refunds, and your right of withdrawal as an EU consumer, are handled by Apple under the Apple Media Services terms. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Your content and ours

Presets, tracks and history you create stay on your device and are yours. The app, its sounds, voice cues, designs and name belong to Cadento Ltd. and its licensors; the licence Apple grants you covers using them in the app, nothing more.

Changes

We may change these terms when the app changes. The date at the top says when. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it; if you do not, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of Bulgaria. Disputes go to the competent court in Sofia, Bulgaria — except that if you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the right to bring a claim in your own country and under its mandatory consumer law.
